Our goal is to provide the very best compact law reference book available!

For each of our books, a team including experienced street officers and prosecutors selects the set of laws to include. Their criteria focus on what will be of the most use to a street officer, AND the supporting statutory material, such as definitions.

Some statutory material is omitted, where the information is not of use on the street. For example, subsections that outline diversion programs.

After the selections are made and compiled into our book files, the text of our books are proofed; word for word, comma for comma to make sure that we have the correct information. Not infrequently, we find errors in the original law books, and notify the appropriate office.

Our proof readers are prosecutors, so that in addition to validating the information, they simultaneously examine the statutes to determine if there are other statutes that should be included, and that we have all necessary supporting material.

As evidence of the value of our compact books, they are frequently used by prosecutors and judges.

The indexes to our books are one of the most valuable features. Rather than a broad permutation of the words in the titles, the index entries focus on common street parlance for offenses. As an example, rather than something like "Certain persons not to possess firearms"; our index would contain: Ex-con in possession, Felon in possession of firearm, Firearm-Felon in possession.

Our prices are low to make sure that they are affordable by the individual officer, in the case that the department does not furnish them.
